Leur football na\u00eet en 1848.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des femmes, cette pratique n\u2019est pas la bienvenue. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, au Royaume-Uni, un mouvement f\u00e9ministe commence \u00e0 voir le jour, men\u00e9 par les suffragettes. C\u2019est une femme, Helen Matthews, gardienne de but de l\u2019\u00e9quipe \u00e9cossaise et militante pour les droits des femmes qui d\u00e9cide, le 9 mai 1881, d\u2019organiser un match international contre l\u2019Angleterre sur le terrain de l\u2019Easter Road Stadium en \u00c9cosse. Toute premi\u00e8re comp\u00e9tition f\u00e9minine o\u00f9 22 femmes s\u2019affrontent devant 5.000 spectateurs dans les tribunes. Le journal local Glascow Herald y envoie un reporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#008000\">Jour de match<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab <em>Les jeunes femmes, qui devaient avoir entre 18 et 24 ans, \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s bien habill\u00e9es. Les \u00c9cossaises portaient des maillots bleus, des culottes blanches, des collants rouges, une ceinture rouge, des bottes \u00e0 talon et un capuchon bleu et blanc. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des supporters, cette avanc\u00e9e n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s bien per\u00e7ue. En effet, avant la fin du match, la plupart des spectateurs d\u00e9sertent les tribunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#008000\">Des b\u00e2tons dans les roues\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est de m\u00eame, lors de la seconde rencontre sportive, organis\u00e9e \u00e0 Glasgow, en \u00c9cosse, sept jours plus tard, le Dunferlime journal rapporte que \u00ab <em>vers la fin, quelques brutes se sont introduites sur le terrain, suivies d&rsquo;une centaine d&rsquo;autres qui ont violemment bouscul\u00e9 les joueuses. Elles ont d\u00fb se r\u00e9fugier dans l&rsquo;omnibus qui les avait transport\u00e9es sur le terrain. Elles n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas au bout de leur peine, car la foule a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9truire les poteaux et \u00e0 les jeter contre le v\u00e9hicule en mouvement. D\u2019autres \u00e9meutes surviennent lors de la tourn\u00e9e. Les deux derniers matches, les 25 et 27 juin 1881, les deux rencontres se d\u00e9roulent \u00e0 merveille.
